2018 Sale


On Wednesday the 11th April our third Helmsman Auction of Yearling Bulls was conducted by Michael Glasser and the team at GTSM.

Buyers came from NSW, Tasmania and all regions of Victoria to purchase bulls to a top of $7500 twice, with an average of $4,200.

Several new buyers were in attendance as well as many repeat clients enabling a solid result to be achieved, despite the very dry conditions.

Equal top price of $7500 was paid by Boobyalla Pastoral of Tasmania for Riga Norfolk N64 a son of Musgrave Big Sky with a great birth to growth EBV spread. While Wyambi Pastoral, Tasmania purchased Riga Network N69, a son of Pathfinder Genesis who also had an impressive birth to growth EBV spread.

Long time clients GJ & H Merceica of Mansfield paid $5500 for Riga Norbert N52 a full brother to the top priced bull they purchased in 2017 to complete their draft of Sydgen Black Pearl sons.



Regular clients The Parsons Family of Mansfield took home 3 bulls to a top of $5250 for Riga Napoleon N47 a son of Pathfiinder Genesis as well as two sons by homebred sires.

Other repeat clients to take home bulls were P & K Kirkbride, paying $5000 for a son of Sydgen Black Pearl, Grifforan Pastoral took home two bulls to a top of $5000 for a son of Wattletop Franklin, while Deepdale Seaton Park took home two bulls to a top of $5000 for a son of Musgrave Big Sky and the Baker Family Trust purchased two bull to $4500 for a son of Riga Harry.

New Clients the Lurg Cattle Co purchased two bulls to a top of $5000 for a Musgrave Big Sky son, while the Estate of HM Miller purchased another son of Musgrave Big Sky for $5000.
